3D Borehole and Fracture Modeling

Model boreholes, fractures, tube waves, and Krauklis waves in 3D with high-order finite elements.

Fluid-filled boreholes and fractures are much smaller than seismic wavelengths but interact strongly with the wavefield, forming tube and Krauklis waves that conventional methods can struggle to resolve.

FrequenSolve represents these intricate features with high-order finite elements, while its frequency-domain formulation avoids the stability restrictions that make fine-scale time-domain modeling prohibitively expensive.
